Positioning The Pylon Tech Batteries:

Home Switch Ltd Supply Pyon Tech US2000B Battery brackets at a cost of £35.00 each + Vat - (Please click HERE for more details).

Not only does the brackets give the batteries a more professional look but they also play a big part ensuring the performance of the batteries.

The brackets create a gap between the batteries to create "Air Flow", The air flow drives heat away to make the batteries work more efficiently.

Simple slide one bracket to the front and one bracket to the back.

Installing The Long Cable Kit To The Sofar Solar ME3000SP:

Weather you have a single or multiple battery storage system, they all connect the same way to the Sofar Solar ME3000SP Controller.

First place the battery(s) in place next to the sofar Solar controller. Once you are happy that the long cables (Orange & Black) can reach to your controller from the battey(s) you can then proceed to attach the cables to your SoFar Me3000SP unit.

2m is the maximum distance possible between the battery bank and the SoFar Me3000SP unit.

These cables are 2m long and are Orange & Black, Orange is positive and Black is negative.

These connections are on the left hand side of the unit.

  • First remove the cover as shown in images below to expose the positive and negitive terminals.

  • Undo the 2 screws from the terminals.

  • Pass both cables through the cover you have just removed. the two ends with the metal hole connection is the end that attaches to the sofar solar controller.

  • Connect the long power leads to the GRID positive (Orange Cable) and GRID negative (Black Cable) on the SoFar Me3000SP unit,

  • Simple insert the two screws and tighten to hold the cables in place.

  • Now re-attach the cover and tighten all 4 screws

Installing The CT Clamps:

There are 2 CT clamps which need to be connected. One is around the AC supply coming into the property, and the other is around the AC feed from your renewable source to the fuse-board.

If you are installing close to the fuse-board then you may only need a short extension. If you need a longer run, as you are locating the Sofar Solar ME3000SP further away, you will need a longer extension.

Use Data cable (MUST BE CAT 5 CABLE) to make this extension as this will ensure no interference from other devices when running longer distances.

Follow the Steps below to see how to group the CAT 5 cables in order to make the extension.
